Orthodontic devices - are removable devices which should be worn for some years, their patterns being changed.

Bracket-system - is nonremovable device being a combination of locks, fixed on the surface of teeth and a wire arc which helps to shift teeth and correct bite.

More effective there is treatment with bracket-system, thanks to which it is possible to achieve successful result in 98% of cases. Using orthodontic apparatuses it is not possible to achieve such results.

At the first stage of orthodontic treatment rubber or metal separators are installed in interdental intervals of support teeth. At that you may feel discomfort in side parts during 1-2 days.
In 1-2 weeks after installation of separators the brackets are fixed to the surface of teeth with special glue.
Fixing is absolutely painless and does not damage enamel.
With elastic ligatures the wire arc is stuck to the brackets. During the first 2-3 days (and sometimes about 2 weeks) there may be soft soreness in the area of teeth and soft tissues. In these cases alkaline rinsing and taking of anesthetizing drugs are recommended.

During the whole orthodontic treatment your food should be well balanced, low-carbohydrate, rich vitamin and microelements.

Regular (once a month) visits to the doctor - dentist and good hygiene of an oral cavity (to clean teeth after every meal with special devices) allow to avoid beginnings of a caries during orthodontic treatment.

In some cases to secure the achieved results of the treatment, after removing the brackets, the doctor - orthodontist will assign you to carry fixing apparatus (retainer) - a plastic plate or a kappa for night use.
